When Nature Calls_Trips Home
THE IDEA
Amsterdam is a city full of expats, many from far-flung places. With the rising cost of travel worldwide, many choose not to go home for the holidays. To offer them some solace, we partnered with When Nature Calls, to create a range of psychedelics made just for them. “Trips Home” was born. The idea was that even if expats couldn’t return home, we could still help them feel spiritually and emotionally closer.

HOW IT WORKS
There were five truffle strengths in the collection, each color-coded from light to dark. Every jar was individually packaged with instructions to guide you through the experience. The instructions were designed like vintage postcards, the type was set to evoke a more structured journey, and each postcard featured bespoke “stamps” noting possible traveller intentions for their trip.

THE EXECUTION
We drew inspiration from the world of travel for our graphic identity, playing with the idea of a “trip.” The typography and line systems on the truffle jars referenced vintage plane tickets, while the colorful ink bleeds were inspired by the subtle graphics found on tickets and passport pages. These bleeds were handmade in our studio by mixing watercolors with real mushroom oil, creating a series of otherworldly landforms.
